Itinerary
Arrive in Leh and check into your hotel. Take it easy for the day to acclimatize to the high altitude. Drink lots of water and rest. In the evening, take a stroll around the Leh bazaar and visit the Shanti Stupa for a panoramic view of the city.
Depart from Leh and drive to the beautiful Nubra Valley via the Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Visit the Diskit Monastery, which is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in Nubra Valley. Enjoy a camel ride on the sand dunes in Hunder. Spend the night in a camp or guesthouse in Nubra Valley.
After breakfast, drive to the mesmerizing Pangong Tso lake, which is one of the highest saltwater lakes in the world. The journey will take you through some of the most scenic routes in the region. Spend the night in a camp or guesthouse near the lake and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise over the lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via the Chang La Pass, another high-altitude pass. Visit the Hemis Monastery, which is the largest and richest monastery in Ladakh and has a fascinating collection of ancient relics and artifacts. Spend the evening relaxing in Leh and exploring the local markets.
